Run for The Concerned Citizen Community Council (R4C) is an outreach effort that will take place on September 5th and 6th in collaboration with Running Forward and Giving Back. This is a community fundraising effort and not a sign up group running event.
The Concerned Citizen Community Council (CCCC) located on Kinsman Road in Cleveland, operates a free thrift shop (outfitting hundreds of children annually), uses donated food to cook dinner five nights a week for hungry children who show up on its doorsteps, is a Certified Emergency Food Pantry, runs sewing, cooking, arts and crafts, and computer classes for dozens of children and teens throughout the year, shows well-attended Saturday morning children’s movies, distributes 200+ book bags filled with school supplies, 200+ Christmas Stockings and 200 holiday food baskets. It provides a “safe” clean bathroom for neighborhood teens lacking safe privacy at home. It also collects and distributes many hundreds of pounds of toiletries and personal hygiene products to 1000+ Mt. Pleasant children either directly or via local schools. Additionally, it passes out hundreds of donated books to area students. For the last several years, C4 has run a FREE six-week summer day camp for 20+ children (ages 6-15). Sports, arts and crafts, movies, field trips, and learning to plant and harvest vegetables were a few of the daily camp activities.
The event will be taking donations through the Running Forward Giving Back website and 100% of all contributions will go to our neighbors in need at CCCC in a single check.

This is a solo run and socially responsible event that will consist of one neighborhood resident who will run 24 hours on the sidewalks/streets of South Park, Drummond, Weybridge, and Sedgewick of Shaker Heights starting on September 5th at 6pm to raise awareness for CCCC and the community R4C effort. Wave to him !!!
Although this is a solo run, R4C is a large community effort of many neighborhood individuals who believe in this cause and are helping to support and raise awareness for CCCC.
This is not really a group running event but it is a free country Stay more than 6 feet from everyone. We are not registering runners.
If you live on the course and donate $100 ($50 additional if your dog poops), we will run your dog for up to 30 minutes. Drop a line below if you would like to sign up for that.
